I was looking at pictures of t-rexes and I was like… LOL, their little arms.
And then I am like what does it remind me of and it’s a CHICKEN. Can’t unsee ever. T-rex = giant chicken.

So, my friend told me I should watch this movie.
A) because there’s a doll in it ( Chucky has been a big part of my life)
B) the image/poster/thing fpr the movie makes the main character look like me
(looks different in the movie though, but I suppose we’re still creepy pale girls. I think hey’re trying to combine May and the doll here)
C) It’s a horror movie
Scary to say that I do actually relate to her?
Basically, and outcast girl falls in love, has to “make friends” and… I forgot the rest so I’m about to rewatch!

edit: So im watching it and she works in an animal hospital.
aaannnd so do I.

I came across one video that was… quite the watch. I took some notes.
I’d like someone who is well researched in our history to comment and tell me where I’m wrong and correct things I found in the video ( I’m not sure I want to post the girl’s video, since people can be harsh.
1) She says it started in 1940’s in Britain, yet claimes Wicca has been around for thousands of years.
2) Says Wicca affected all age groups from 1980 to 2005, and afterwards was almost strictly growing through teenagers. She then says peoples ancestors were probably Wiccan, and they’re descendants turned Christian, causing problems for their Wiccan-to-be children.
3) Talks a counfusing mess of our symbols coming from the Victorian Era occultism (I must check how true that is), and our spirituality and ideas coming from older Pagan faiths that aren’t practiced anymore/ presumably haven’t been practiced for centuries.
These older faiths were based off of Hinduism and Buddhism. She calls Buddha and “Hindu”, gods.
4) Says Gardeners work is “cohesive” because his work is unoriginal and doesn’t really apply to Wiccans. It must apply to the many that are Gardernarian Wiccans, but, ya know. If I remember correctly, he wrote a lot about things taught in his coven. Still, she recommends not practicing this way - Apperently it’s not Wiccan enough. She goes on to say he didn’t start Wicca.
Here’s a snippet from my favorite site, Wicca dot cnbeyer dot com
Gardner claimed to have been initiated into the Old Religion - he even had Margaret Murray write the forward of Witchcraft Today. He also used Murray’s tern witch-cult, and spoke of members being of the Wica, although he never (in his published works at least) used the word Wicca. The Old Religion was theoretically pagan in origin. However, the simple fact is that much of Gardner’s practices are clearly rooted in the ceremonial magic of his contemporaries and near contemporaries. Gardner was a brief friend of occultist Aleister Crowley (they met only a year before Crowley’s death) and a member of the OTO (Ordo Templi Orientis). He was a Co-Mason, whose practices were based on those of the Freemasons, and would have had access to information on the general practices of the Golden Dawn. Gardner’s views of magic and religion certainly did vary from that of ceremonial magic, which was rooted in Judeo-Christian tradition, but they are not clearly rooted in any particular pagan tradition, although the influences of various practices are evident.
Wicca itself pulls on many different things (are most of us not usually eclectic nowadays?), so how can you say no to follow Gardner at all because he’s unoriginal?
5) During the 16th and 17th century, “Eupropean towns across the world (wat?)” dispised Wiccans. Are there any historical references that say Wiccans were around? if 40,000-100,000 of us were actually there, wouldn’t we have relics at all? Would this many people have simply gotten killed without any sort of joining together to fight back?
6) Witchunts were strictly because Christians thought Wiccans were Satanists and child eaters. Nothing there at all about getting rid of outcasts in the community, or trying to obtain land, or generally claiming anyone you hated was a witch.
another snippet-
“The Wiccan argument can simply be ended with the fact that Wicca didn’t exist in the time of the witch-persecutions. So let’s discuss instead the related argument that those persecuted were pagans, not worshippers of the Devil.
I’m always astounded by the number of people who can’t seem to comprehend that those persecuted could have been neither. We are willing to claim that pagans were being wrongly accused of worshipping Satan, but we can’t accept that it was simply Christians who were being wrongly accused of worshipping Satan.
The witch-trials didn’t begin until more than a millennia after the founding of Christianity. If the Church found these supposed pagans to be such a threat, they sure took their time in dealing with them. Indeed, the major trial period did not occur until centuries after Europe had been Christianized.
The trials have their origins in the persecution of heresy that mostly just got way out of control, in large part because of the destabilization Europe was suffering at the time. The Hundred Years War was killing people by the thousands, as was the Black Death. People needed a scapegoat, and that scapegoat became the mythical witch.
Moreover, while religion was a factor, it was not about paganism. Catholics were accusing Protestants and Protestants were accusing Catholics. Where conflict between these two groups was more severe, witch-trials were likewise more severe. Conversely, in areas where things were more stable, especially on the religious front, the witch-hunts were far less hysterical. The strongly Catholic Spain, for example, had one of the smallest witch-hunts in western Europe.”
7) The definiftion of “devine”, “being divine”, or “using divinity” is worshipping more than one god or idol.
8) The reason people call Wiccans witches is because it means poisoner, not because we practice magic or accept the word “witch” as a positive identifier. She says a Witch and a Wiccan are two different things, and she’s right. However, many wiccans are, in fact, witches, so we can’t act like there isn’t a connection.
9) One of our symbols - the “Tryqueera” …
10) She worships “the actual god that everyone else worships”.
…
11) - Enter confusing mess about how it’s okay to steal medicine if it’s for a dying baby-
